Next, a detailed action plan is drawn up: which solutions to consider, who to mobilise, what budget to allow for, and so on.

2. Act / Execute (Do)

This stage is about implementing the chosen solution , often on a small scale at first. The aim is to test the effectiveness of the solution before rolling it out. This experimental approach is particularly useful in an industrial environment where risks can be high.

3. Control / Verify (Check)

Once the action has been carried out, you need to measure the results obtained against the objectives set. Key performance indicators (KPIs) can be used to quantify the impact. Does the solution meet expectations? Are there any gaps? What lessons have been learned?

4. Adjust / Act (Act)

If the results are positive, the solution is standardised and good practices are integrated into existing processes. If not, areas for improvement are identified and a new PDCA cycle is launched. This loop therefore enables continuous evolution and gradual progress.
