Digital initiatives contribute directly to reducing the carbon footprint of industry, a central issue for French companies. The Industry 4.0 Barometer 2023 shows that 57% of manufacturers have already launched digitalisation projects to reduce their CO2 emissions. Thanks to digital technologies, companies can monitor and optimise their energy consumption, reduce non-quality and integrate recycled materials into their production processes.
The use of tools such as energy management systems (EMS) or carbon management systems (CMS) enables companies to better understand their environmental impact and adapt their strategies accordingly. These initiatives are encouraged by regulations such as the BEGES (Bilan des Émissions de Gaz à Effet de Serre), which requires companies to track and reduce their emissions.
